Review: Lipcote Lipstick Sealer

Finally, I have found my lipstick dream! Throughout the summer I have been wearing bright, bold lipsticks, but unfortunately I don't have much luck with longevity when it comes to lipstick. Until I found this!
Lipcote is packaged in a hand bag sized clear bottle, with a twist cap and fine bristled brush to apply the product. The brush is nice and smooth and so it coats the lips well.

Lipcote is the beauty world's answer to ever lasting and perfect looking lipstick. I do find that this product has quite a heavy alcohol smell to it, but once it dries, my lipstick does not budge an inch. Careful though, it is quite runny, so a little goes a very long way!

This little beauty has been around in the beauty world for a very long time, and I know that some people don't get on with it too well, but I find that with my red lipstick(which will be appearing in the next post) it works perfectly well and my lipstick never bleeds!

This retails at Boots for around £3.69 or £2.50 on Amazon.

Has anyone used lipstick sealer's before? What do you think of them?

Lots of love,

Also, I must apologise for my lack of posts due to starting a new job (10 hour days are not fun!).

DIY Coffee Scrub!

Today we live in a society that if you don't drink coffee in the  morning how are you supposed to fight off that morning fatigue without it?! However, instead of staining your teeth through the habitual drinking of coffee, why not let your skin absorb the wonderful nutrients instead?
Did you know that your body is capable of absorbing caffeine through the skin? Scientists have researched and say that it can give your body a nice energy boost, maybe not as much as drinking it would, but at least you'd be doing your teeth a favour!
There are many benefits to coffee, aside from being the go to to wake you up. It can act as a great exfoliant for the skin, lifting away dead skin cells and allowing your skin to glow.

How to make your own coffee facial scrub:

Ingredients:
4tbsp. olive oil
6tbsp. coffee grounds

Mix the coffee grounds and olive oil  together to form a coarse, mud like mixture.
Now your mixture is ready to use on your face and body!

The coffee grounds will be responsible for exfoliating the skin, whilst the olive oil will keep your skin moisturised and hydrated. After you've scrubbed away the dead skin, wash away with warm water to reveal healthy, beautiful glowing skin that will make every head turn in the street!

Go on, what're you waiting for, get scrubbing!

Lots of love,

French Manicure made EASY!

Now I don't know about you guys, but I always manage to screw up doing my own French manicure with a normal nail polish brush, especially when it comes to using my left hand! But I found this excellent little tool to help me with just that. This nifty little pen by Nailene which allows you to draw on a perfect white line. I know some people have a hard time with this but I found it so easy and it is very pigmented, it recommends two coats but I can get away with using one. The kit does come with a clear top coat but I don't find it to be very good, so I use my own Sally Hansen base and top coat and you can find my review of that product HERE. It makes it last for a good few days, and because it's such a small and mobile product, if you do find yourself with a chip, you can just reapply a thin layer over the top. You can find this product in Boots but you can also find it a lot cheaper on Ebay, which is where I found mine!

The handy nib shape of the pen makes for easy and precise lines with optimum control of the pen itself and catches the curves of the nail perfectly.

Using this pen has made it so much quicker to do a self-manicure at home which almost looks like salon-perfect quality! I like that the white is a brilliant white, perfect for the traditional French Manicure.

Do any of you have trouble applying French tips on your own too?
